Hello there! My name is Patricia Bolaños and I’m an illustrator and cartoonist based in Brooklyn.

I studied Architecture in Madrid, my hometown, but my passion for drawing and storytelling eventually led me to swap endless nights in AutoCAD for colored pencils. In 2016, I moved to New York almost by chance and, after a period of personal exploration (marked by several existential crises and countless tears in coffee shops), I began my career as an illustrator.

My work combines watercolor, gouache, and digital illustration to create vibrant, expressive images, and has appeared in publications such as The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, and Condé Nast Traveller.

I always carry a sketchbook in my bag and often spend hours drawing scenes on the New York subway, where I find much of my inspiration.
